Shattuck Reunion 2011

It's that time of year again. The Shattuck reunion. The number was down some.  One of the cousins brought a tractor with cars hooked to it. "It was called The Redneck Limo". The kids had so much fun riding that. Well I guess the adults had fun too. Some of the aunts and uncles had a ride also. Sadly I didn't get a picture of that though. It was so much fun. He took us out in the woods. At night was the best. I wasn't able to be at the reunion much this year due to the fact that Colton was spending his time back in the hospital. I think the best part of the reunion this year was the "LIMO" ride. I have some pictures posted.

Michigans adventure

Michigans Adventure here we come: We were planning a trip to Michigans Adventure on August 12. It was suppose to be a nice day and since Colton had spent most of the summer in the hospital we had not gotten to do much. And then guess what? Colton was taken to the ER late Thursday night. We thought great our plans for the next day were cancelled. My brother, his wife, and kids were going to go also. Well Colton got discharged about 6:30 that morning. We decided to still go. My nieces chose not to go without us and I knew how much they had been looking forward to it (well me too). So we got home and Junior went to bed. I took Colton to an appointment and came home to make cookies and get ready. So off to Michigans Adventures we went with no sleep. But It was just as much without sleep as it would have been with sleep.  I even rode some of the roller coasters and loved it. Of course Junior and Nathan rode Shivering timbers (the biggest roller coaster there). Carlie and Abby ended up riding it too. My favorite rides were the scrambler and the thunder bolt. It turned out to be a pretty good day.
