Guess where we were for Christmas. Yep! thats right. We spent it at U of M. It doesn't matter where you are as long as you're with the ones you love. Some of the family came to spend the day with us. We were staying at the Ronald McDonald house where they had a game room so we played pool to pass the time away. The most important thing was that we still had our little boy.

Coltons open heart surgery
On Dec. 10 we headed to Ann Arbor to get ready for Coltons open heart surgery on Mon. the 13th. The waiting room was filled with family and our pastor. But I wouldn't have it any other way. It was suppose to have been a 4 hour surgery but turned into a 5 or 5 1/2 surgery. It was a very long day for us. We didn't get to see him for 13 hours. That was very hard. We gave him a kiss around 7:30 in the morning and didn't get back to see him til after 8 in the evening. It was very hard seeing him laying there like that. The dr. did a wonderful job fixing my little mans heart. There's not enough words to express our thanks.

Coltons first Thanksgiving
We hadn't planned on Colton spending his first Thanksgiving in the hospital. Even though we were at the hospital we still had so much to be thankful for. We had our little boy. It wasn't that bad. Some of the family came up later that night to spend the evening with us.
